Evan got off of Isobel. They both kept looking at each other and letting out snorts of laughter. Isobel was bright red.

"I can't believe I just did that."

"I can."

"And just what the hell does that mean?" she asked as she reached down to grab her panties. She put them back on, slipping them over her boots.

"It means you're a goody-two-shoes, and goody-two-shoes girls always go for the bathroom sex and shit."

Isobel burst into giggles and rolled her eyes. She pressed her wrist against her mouth, trying to calm herself down, to act like an adult, but she hadn't felt this giddy in a long time. Evan walked up to her, threw his arm around her waist, and kissed her. She smiled and laughed and said, "Evan. I love you, but please wash your mouth."

Evan looked down at her with a perfectly arched brow raised up high. "You love me, huh?"

Isobel's mirthful expression went kind of blank. And then she said, "Yeah, I do. Please wash your mouth."

"What, you don't like the taste of yourself?"

"I have no idea how to respond to that."

"Well, I love the taste of you. I think I'm going to eat you for dinner every night," he said as he let her go. He turned to the sink. "But because I love you, I will wash my mouth."

Isobel's expression was a little hard to describe, because she looked happy, but she also looked bewildered. Her hair was a wild brown mess, and she was still shaking a little. Evan washed his mouth and swilled it out with water, reaching up to snatch a paper towel to dry off. He threw the paper towel away, and looked at her. "What? What is it?"

"Do you really?"

"What? Love you?"

Isobel nodded. She was very grave, just then. He smiled, and said, "I do."

She smiled, and said, "In that case, I better quit my job."

He laughed, and threw his arm around her shoulders.

"Do you think there's any chance we're getting out of here without being seen?" she asked, throwing her arm around his waist.

"Mmm I wouldn't bank on it."

The second they opened the door, Tanya was there with the most smug look on her face. She handed over Evan's phone, and said, "You got a call."

"From who?" he asked.

"I don't know, some random number. Left a message. Isobel, are you catching a ride home with me?"

"Um, I'm not really sure," she said, blushing deep red. Evan grinned as he called his voice mail. He walked back into the bathroom to listen away from the loud music.

Tanya kept teasing Isobel, and Isobel kept laughing, but she was kind of concerned as she watched Evan.

His shoulders dropped as he listened to the voice mail. He turned and looked at Isobel and Tanya and said, "Gran's sick. I gotta go."

He hung up the phone and slipped past the two of them. Isobel followed him.

"Can I come with you?"

"Yeah, here," he said, tossing her his keys. "Start the car. I'll meet you there after I get my stuff.
